WoW Riding Guide
This WoW Riding Guide covers training your Riding skill and also provides information about the racial and class mounts available for Riding in the World of Warcraft. Although Riding is a secondary profession, it doesn’t require training up through levels like other professions do. Instead the Riding skill levels are simply purchased from a Riding Trainer. After purchasing the Riding skill available for your character’s level, you will then be able to purchase the mounts appropriate for that skill level.

The Death Knight’s Epic land mount is earned in one of the initial Death Knight quests and the Epic flying mount can be purchased from Dread Commander Thalanor at Acherus: The Ebon Hold, Eastern Plaguelands.

Thanks. This was very helpful.
Thanks!
I would like to point out that there are actually 2 Worgen mounts which can be purchased outside of the Old Oak in Teldrassil. Mountain Horse and Swift Mountain Horse.
I can confirm this.
Good Day!
Your article is highly informative. However, due to my ignorance I recently did a reset to my draenai and lost my gryphon riding or mounting abilities. I am currently at Lvl 63 . I have repurchased another gryphon but am unable to activate it. The message says I already know Golden Gryphon and the voice says I can’t learn the spell. How or is there a way for me to get my riding / mounting or spell back. Great apprec your help . Thanks and regards

I’m at level 70 and haven’t had a mount of my own to summon and ride.
I have my riding levels up to Artisan, but the Flying Instructor won’t train me for Artisan level. I’ve purchased some Griffins, however, don’t know how to summon them. I put their icons in my pouch, however, after trying each one once, (seemed like a spell), they’re not there and I can’t bring them up or summon a ride. Just need some plain talk on how to use a self summoned mount. Need it for some levels I’ve come across. Thanks!
well there is a small pic of a horse on the bottom next to the spell and spec book click at it and you can summon your mounts and you could see how many mount you have
I looked everywhere for a list as simple as this. Thanks!
To access your mounts and pets press shift and p at the same time.
You have to RIGHT CLICK a mount in your bag to learn it. It will disapear then. Then you will find it in your list of mounts (brown horse’s head in the mini-menu) The list of mounts also has a list of all your little battle/cosmetic pets on a different tab. From the mounts tab you can click on the WORDS (not the icon) for the mount you want and push SUMMON* If you want it on the toolbar then drag the ICON where you want it to be. (same procedure with cute little pets) It becomes a toggle spell when placed on the toolbar. There are also several addons that provide ease of selection and mounting.
