WoW Leatherworking Guide 1-525
This WoW Leatherworking Guide details the most efficient method of leveling Leatherworking from levels 1 to 525 in the World of Warcraft. Leatherworking is a primary profession that allows your character to create a variety of items such as cloaks and armor. The Skinning profession is usually selected as a complementary skill while leveling Leatherworking, as it can provide many of the raw materials required for Leatherworking.

This guide focuses on making leveling Leatherworking as easy and as cheap as possbile by using patterns that can be learned from Leatherworking trainers and patterns that use the fewest and most easily obtained materials.
If a specific trainer or supplier isn’t mentioned for a pattern this means that the pattern should be commonly available from all Leatherworking trainers for the item’s level.

5These plans can only be purchased from the Leatherworking Supplies vendors in the faction capital cities or from vendors in Twilight Highlands (who only appear after the initial level 84 quest cycle is completed in this zone)
Alliance vendor is Misty Merriweather in Highbank, Twilight Highlands
Horde vendor is Threm Blackscalp in Dragonmaw Port, Twilight Highlands
Leatherworking Specializations
As of WoW patch 4.0.1 the leatherworking specializations of Dragonscale, Elemental and Survival have been removed from the game.

i found bloodied armor has been changed it’s now Bloodthirsty and from 510-525 making said item’s only give 2 levels not 3 as it say’s on here.

Hey, Ive used your guide and it has been a great help. Just a tip tho.
Between skill 415 – 425 I realized it was better to use the Arctic Fur and do some of the Fur Linings you get from the trainer. Its orange up to 425. So if you can get a hold of 10 arctic fur, very easy to get if you farm leather anyway, then you wont need to farm the extra 500ish+ borean leathers. It saved me lots of time.
Im at 460 now, I be back if I got more tips :p
