WoW Leather Gathering Guide

This WoW Leather Gathering Guide details the best locations to skin various leather types in the World of Warcraft. Leather is primarily required for the Leatherworking profession, but is also used occasionally by other professions such as Blacksmithing, Engineering and Tailoring.

Updated for WoW patch 5.2

Leather is skinned from beast and dragonkin mobs throughout most of the zones, dungeons and raids in World of Warcraft. This guide will indicate the areas for each leather type where you can skin fastest, based on drop rate and the density and respawn rate of mobs.

Dude, Blasted Lands is NOT the best place to farm Rugged leather, not then, and not now. Winterspring is MUCH better.
