Pirate’s Day (19 September)
19th September is Talk Like A Pirate Day. If you’ve never heard of it or want to know how it came about, check out the website of the guys who started it all – Official Talk Like A Pirate Website. To recognise this auspicious occasion, World of Warcraft has its own in-game Pirates Day celebration.

In order to celebrate Pirates Day, talk to one of the commoners dressed in pirate grab who can be found throughout the major cities of Azeroth. When you talk to them you can ask to dress like a pirate and will receive the Corsair Costume buff, a pirate outfit that lasts for 1 hour. For more celebrations head down to Booty Bay in the Cape of Stranglethorn zone. On one of the rooftops near to the Horde Flightmaster, you will find Dread Captain DeMeza. Speak to her and share a festive drink to receive the Dread Corsair buff, a pirate outfit that lasts for 12 hours. Receiving the buff will also earn you the achievement The Captain’s Booty.
