They've lowered most glyphs to needing 2 ink per, so this is less of an issue as of patch 3.3.3.

However, it's worth noting that it might be better on some servers to stick to the armor/weapon vellum till they either go green or grey, especially if you have enchanting, since those items are generally fairly in-demand with enchanters, and can fetch a decent price in the auction house from enchanters looking to either level their enchanting or sell their wares (in the case of Weapon Vellum I and Armor/Weapon Vellum III).

If you're leveling Herbalism at the same time, it may be a better idea to focus on the stat boosting "Scroll of..." items rather than the glyphs in the middle range (150-300 approx.). For me , the limiting factor was inks, not paper, so I did these scrolls, as opposed to glyphs that use 2 inks, until they turned green - only used 1 extra ink making Scroll of Agility III to skill level 185. If there is an upgrade scroll in the next bracket, switch to that of course.
Great guide, keep up the good work!

[...] gathering professions tend to provide a strong gold income. Herbalism complements the Alchemy and Inscription professions very well, as Herbalism provides the raw materials required for these professions. [...]
